BRIEF INTRODUCTION

Dr. Parajuli is one of the renowned Dermato venereologists of Nepal with more than a decade of experience in the field. He currently is heading as president of Society of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists of Nepal. He is affiliated at present with the Department of Dermatology for Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) , Maharajgunj Medical Campus, Institute of Medicine, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu,Nepal where he is responsible for Teaching, learning activities of undergraduate and post graduate students of Dermatology, Venereology, and Leprology, running Out Patient Department, and performing mainly Dermato- surgical procedures.

Before joining TUTH he was working as a unit in- charge of the Department of Dermatology, Civil service hospital, Minbhawan, Kathmandu, Nepal, a Government Hospital of Nepal. He also worked as a lecturer in the Department of Dermatology in college of Medical sciences , Bharatpur, Nepal for one and half years(2009). He has organized 2nd International conference of Dermatology in Nepal 2016 (October 20-22, 2016) as organizing co-secretary and is involved with organization of meeting of conferences of Society of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists of Nepal till date and South Asian regional association of Dermatologists.

He is also the winner of poster exhibit scholarship of 69th Annual meeting of American Academy of Dermatology held in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA( February 2011) , prestigious Imrich Sarkany Non- European memorial scholarship of 23rd European academy of Dermatology and Venereology held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands( October 2014), WCD rising star scholarship of 23rd World congress of Dermatology, held in Vancouver Canada June 2015 and Young Dermatologist International achievement award of International League of Dermatological Societies( June 2019). He has served as a managing editor of Nepal Journal of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology for many years. Dr Parajuli is a member of Research Co-ordination committee of Research Department of Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University.

Dr Parajuli has a Master's degree from Maharajgunj Medical Campus (TU Teaching Hospital, Institute of Medicine, and Kathmandu). He completed his preceptorship in Dermatologic surgery from American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, New York and also is a member of European Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Sudip Parajuli speaks fluent/ conversational English and Nepali. He is also involved in philanthropic activities of the Society of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists of Nepal and has conducted free health checkup of rural community members of Nepal several times every year. He has started " Xeroderma Pigmentosum : Medical and Social project", for the first time in Nepal which is purely looking after the medical and social wellbeing of XP patients in Nepal for free.

Dr Parajuli interests include Dermatosurgery especially skin cancer surgery and reconstruction, scar rejuvenation, aesthetic dermatology, laser medicine,non-surgical aesthetic rejuvenation , Xeroderma pigmentosum, STIs and HIV.
